QA Manager
Shanghai
Responsibilities
- Build the overall project quality assurance system, defining test strategies, process standards, and automated testing frameworks
- Lead functional and performance testing of core modules such as large-scale 3D scenes, physics engines (rigid body/fluid/cloth), and real-time rendering pipelines
- Design and execute stress tests, compatibility tests, and long-run stability tests for scenarios such as high concurrency, large scene loading, and physics computation stability
- Build and maintain automated testing platforms (integrated with CI/CD), promote shift-left testing, and improve R&D efficiency
- Manage the QA team, coordinate version test plans, and be accountable for delivery quality
- Work closely with physics engine, GPU driver, and product teams, and participate deeply in requirements reviews and technical solution design
Requirements
- 3+ years of game testing experience and 1+ year of test management experience, with full-cycle testing participation in at least one MMO PC/mobile game
- Familiar with game engine testing (Unity/Unreal preferred), with in-depth testing experience in physics collision, scene loading, synchronization mechanisms, and frame rate optimization
- Hands-on performance testing experience, proficient in using PerfDog, UE Insights, Unity Profiler, or in-house tools for bottleneck localization
- Experience building automated testing frameworks (Python/C++/Lua) and familiar with CI tools such as Jenkins/GitLab CI
- Familiar with Linux environments, with server stress testing experience (JMeter/in-house tools) and understanding of distributed system testing methods
- Awareness of or interest in physics simulation, digital twins, or embodied AI, and willing to transition from gaming to the hard-tech track
Bonus Points
- Testing or development experience with physics engines (PhysX/Havok/Bullet/Chaos)
- Familiarity with GPU rendering pipelines, shader performance analysis, or graphics fundamentals
- White-box testing ability to read C++/Python code for logic coverage analysis
- Testing experience with industrial simulation, digital twins, robotics, or autonomous driving simulation platforms
