Python Developer (3D Engine)

Responsibilities

  1. Based on the company proprietary/integrated physics engine platform, design and implement robotics applications (simulation environment setup, robot model integration, control interface development, digital twins, etc.), primarily writing high-quality, scalable code in Python
  2. Participate in the development and debugging of robot dynamics/kinematics simulation, sensor and actuator simulation, trajectory planning, and control interfaces, and complete integration between the simulation system and real control systems
  3. Optimize performance, improve stability, and extend features of physics engine modules, resolving technical challenges such as simulation accuracy, real-time performance, and collision detection
  4. Write technical documentation and cooperate with the team on development, testing, and delivery of robotics application projects

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation, Control Science, or a related field, with 1-2 years of Python development experience (outstanding fresh graduates or career switchers with rich robotics simulation/physics engine project experience may be considered)
  2. Proficient in Python; development experience with physics engines or robotics simulation (experience with any of MuJoCo, PyBullet, Isaac Sim, BulletPhysics, ODE, etc. is acceptable)
  3. Familiar with Linux development and deployment, and proficient with Git for version control
  4. Understanding of robotics fundamentals (forward/inverse kinematics, dynamics, trajectory planning, PID control, etc.)

Bonus Points

  • Hands-on ROS/ROS2 development experience and familiarity with robot sensors, actuators, communication mechanisms, and simulation integration
  • Motion control experience (trajectory planning, interpolation algorithms, integration with motion controllers/PLCs/servo drives, etc.)
  • Practical experience with industrial robots, collaborative robots, AGVs, automated production lines, or robotics digital twins/simulation projects
  • Familiarity with URDF/SDF robot model description formats, or experience with 3D visualization and integrating OpenGL/Unity/Unreal with physics engines
